職人社秀平組(有)および（株）企画フェノミナ代表。1962 年、左官職人の２代目として岐阜県高山市に生まれる。熊本、名古屋などで修行。1983年に技能五輪全国大会左官部門優勝。地元に戻り、父の会社に所属して美術館やホテルなどの現場を手がける。
2001年「職人社秀平組」を設立。以来、土・砂・石灰・藁など、自然素材の表情や色を活かし、ストーリーのある壁を制作。ザ・ペニンシュラホテル東京、アマン東京、羽田空港国際線JALファーストクラスラウンジ、馬事公苑、岐阜県庁1Fホワイエなどのほか、NHK大河ドラマ「真田丸」の題字・タイトルバックも手がける。フレームに土を用いたアート作品も制作する。
He is the author of "Notautsu Mono (A Writhing Man)” (Mainichi Newspapers Co.), a trilogy of narrative poems "Ao to Kohaku (Blue and Amber)”, "Hikari no Mukou (Beyond the Light)”, “Kantai no Seiyoshitsu (The Western Room of Hospitality)” (Mokujisha), “Plasterer Hasado Shuhei no Ikiru Chikara” (The Power of Living: Plasterer Shuhei Hasado) (Rikuyosha), and "Hiritsuku Iro" (The Color that Stings) (Shimizu Kobundo Shobo).
Our work encompasses a wide range of plastering works, from traditional walls to modern art creation, and even designing and building houses both within and outside of the prefecture. We always aim for creation with a feel of the “hands” that built it.
